Although fall is my favorite season, it may surprise you to know that I've never carved a pumpkin! Jason and I gave it a go and, let me tell you, it's harder than it looks. We had a good time drinking apple cider and carving some really simple shapes. I threw on my pumpkin-colored dress for an impromptu photo shoot. What became of the pumpkins post-carving? They made a delicious snack for the squirrels in Jason's backyard!

I told someone the other day that I'd never carved a pumpkin, and you'd think I had said that I'd never seen a dog or drank water. Her eyes got enormous, and the amazement in her "whaaaaaaaaaat!?!" was pretty impressive. Hopefully I look as cute as you when I break my pumpkin cherry. That orange dress is stupid pretty on you.
ReplyDeletehaha I guess it's pretty crazy, ohh well! I love this orange dress. I definitely don't wear it enough. I gravitate toward looser silhouettes and poofy skirts.
ReplyDeleteLove that orange dress -- especially the top! I haven't carved pumpkins since I was little, to be honest. Maybe I'll get back into it at some point.

You look so fabulous in that orange dress, you suit the colour so well! I only just carved a pumpkin for the first time myself the other day, and yes it is a lot harder than it looks!
ReplyDeleteYeah it was fun but hard! haha I can't imagine doing more intricate designs.
ReplyDeleteThank you! yeah I'd love to try it again and maybe make a face or something.
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty dress :D I've carved a piece of a pumpkin before and it really is difficult. Not enough trust in myself to not hurt myself lol Can't imagine having a steady enough hand to even do a heart or star!
ReplyDeleteIt can be worrisome! I kept my dog away in case our knife slipped or something. The carving was pretty hard and getting a curve shape was more difficult than a star!
