Inspiration of the Week

Audrey Hepburn in Paris When it Sizzles, 1962. She looks divine here dressed head to toe in Givenchy. I need to rewatch this movie asap!

I'm loving this photo of Jessica Stam for Paule Ka Spring 2012. The campaign by Venetia Scott is filled with fabulous retro looks that make me desperately want to go on holiday.

If I'm not mistaken, I believe this was a Vogue cover from 1939. Just look at the difference between then and now. There's so much more going on here than in any other cover from the past 10 years.

Kater of All This Happiness is rocking a totally covetable sailor dress.

Is it just me or does Grace Kelly look a bit like Jean Seberg here? Either way, she's definitely an inspiration I don't look to enough.

Check out stylist Shirley Kurata's awesome Rookie feature! I absolutely adore her style. She's not afraid of color or looking like a crayon for that matter. I love it!

How sweet is this darling dress from the Lisa Perry x Jeff Koons collaboration?! So good!

This donut dress by Caitlin Shearer is pretty fantastic as well.

...Oh yeah, and GIRLS! I love it!

What I Wore To Work

I recently went to the fabulous opening of the Audrey Grace pop-up shop, which I covered here and for BUST. While I was there, I spent the time lusting after this perfectly sunny Orla Kiely bag. I kicked myself for not getting it right, then and there. Thankfully though, pop-up shop creator, Jaclyn Bethany, posted it online and I jumped at the chance to own this buttercup beauty! I literally had just gotten it this day, yet somehow my current ensemble went with it perfectly. It's pretty much the brightest bag I own and fits all the New York essentials. I couldn't be more in love!

Stay tuned for an interview with Miss Jaclyn Bethany featuring her soon to launch online shop!

What I Wore To The MOMA

Recently, my friend Alex came to visit. She had one day in NYC and immediately knew she wanted to check out the Cindy Sherman exhibit at the MOMA. I have to say, it was pretty amazing. It's definitely worth checking out. We roamed the museum for a while and came across these lovely canvas stripes, perfect for some street style photos! The lightening was kind of lack luster, but the colors brought out each of our looks. I wore my new Zara dress, which was perfect for the sunny, spring weather.

What I Wore:
dress: zara
tights: hue
purse: coach

Here is Alex looking ever so lovely in her See by Chloe dress.

Here is my friend Mark looking quite dapper.

On my way home, I couldn't resist taking a picture with the Love statue!

What I Wore To Coney Island (P.S. Happy Easter!)

My favorite thing about New York are the ever-changing seasons, but somehow in my love for fall, I forget how magical spring time can be. Well, no doubt about it..spring is officially here! The sun is shining, birds are chirping, and there's no better time..to go to Coney Island!

The weather was perfect and frolicking the beach made for the loveliest of afternoons.  As I head off to work this Easter morning (someone send me chocolate bunnies!), I thought it appropriate to share some of the sunniest photos from that day. What I lack in pastel, I make up in sunshine!

I couldn't resist a jump-shot with this background!
