Rookie Book Launch Shenanigans

I finally got around to editing some of my photos from the Rookie book launch and looking back, it will probably go down as my favorite event of the year. It was like a blogger dream prom with sparkly decorations, fancy themed drinks, cheesy dance tunes, cupcakes galore and, best of all, a million smart, stylish ladies to hang out with. My kind of party! Here are a few photos from the fancy, fun event...

What I Wore To NYFW

During NYFW, I ventured out to Lincoln Center to look for some unique street style, but alas, as I watched people pass by, very few piqued my interest. Thankfully, my style boredom came to a halt when I ran into my friend, Jasmin of Vintage Vandalizm. From her hair down to her toes, her look was total fifties perfection, especially those Prada sunglasses! I like that we each represented the fifties in a different way that day. Her with her pin-up bangs and me with my sock hop skirt. My look consisted of mostly vintage items, along with Topshop shoes, my Mac Jacobs Pan Am Bag, and an adorable car pin created by designer Julie Mollo.

What I Wore As My Last Summer Look

While Fall is my favorite season, I do love the pastels and patterns of spring and summer. I recently stumbled upon this sweet gingham jumper and assumed it would either be too small or super unflattering..I'm just not a jumper kind of girl...but as I snapped each button perfectly in place, I felt ready to take on the last few days of summer. It didn't hurt that the accessories in my closet went so perfectly with it, especially the pillbox hat! I'm going to go out on a limb and say it might be my favorite summer look of the year. I only wish I had worn it more before it got a bit chilly, but I'm thinking..gray cardigan, tights, and some oxfords to "Fall" it up a bit?

I'm also excited to announce that these photos are some of the last taken with my old camera (and in my old apartment actually)!
