What I Wore to the Jazz Lawn Party (Last Year!)

Tomorrow is officially the first day of the Jazz Age Lawn Party! Since moving to New York, I've gone almost every year. It's so much fun to dress up and spend the day on Governor's Island. Last year, my mom was visiting and I took her to this fabulous event. Here I am, a year later, just now uploading photos, but it's nice to look back and remember how much fun it was.

I always have a challenge dressing up in 1920's clothes. Vintage is hard to come by and although I love them, I only own a few drop-waist dresses. You know me, I'm a 50's/60's kind of gal so...as much as I tried, last year's attempt veered into sock hop territory. This year, I'm pretty excited about my look!

Take a gander at what I wore last year and check out some shots of the amazingly well-dressed attendees.

My mom looked so perfectly put together. She had a great 1920's flapper dress!

Some of the gorgeous attendees...

We spotted this adorable girl in her minty lace dress. She asked us to take her picture. Since we were matching, I had to get a picture with her as well!

My beautiful mom!

I'm not sure why this girl looks so grumpy.

Here is some dashing young men in uniform.

Dancing festivities!

I can't wait to dress up and see the crowd tomorrow. Stay tuned for this year's ensemble...
