Calling All Vintage Lovers in Montreal!

Although I'm NYC oriented, Montreal is a city that I'm truly fond of. My Canada adventures left such amazing memories and hopefully, I'll soon be visiting once again. One of my friends there, Mary Elam, who happens to be a fantastic photographer, is helping to put together an event that sounds seriously amazing. If I lived there, I would be there in an instant so I just wanted to put the word out if I have any Canadian followers...you should go! It takes place at a bed and breakfast in the Mile End district of Montreal. There's going to be food, drinks, a photobooth, amazing raffles and obviously a mountain of vintage goodies. What I Wore To Dinner

This look is pretty twee, even for me, but I adore this sweater and decided it needed some colorful whimsy to go with it, especially in these windy, bitterly cold days. I found this pastel dream in Montreal (which is even colder than New York!) and my obsession with cat things always gets the better of me. It definitely reminds me of something Scathingly Brilliant, one of my favorite bloggers, would wear!

I set about thrifting in my hometown over the Christmas break and found quite a few treasures. Goodwill was kind of a bust, but Texas Thrift, a goldmine. This amazing, Prada-esque daisy jacket was one of my favorite finds. It doesn't quite fit me, but I'm thinking of putting it on Etsy sometime soon. The pattern is so cute and decorative, it's going to be kind of hard to let go. 

This strange, but adorable zebra purse also came from Texas Thrift. It's pretty different from anything I've seen before therefore, I didn't hesitate to grab it. 

One of my gifts this year was a fabulous vintage hat but alas my noggin was just a bit too big so I went back to the vintage store and traded it for these two dresses that I'm totally in love with! The one on the left is my fancy professional dress with a hint of 40's appeal and the one of the right is perfect for spring, but I've been wearing it out and about with cardigans and tights.

My new coat via Urban Jungle happens to be perfect for the weather right now. It's  incredibly warm and makes me feel ridiculously glamorous. Plus, let's just say, it definitely did not break the bank.

Video Tutorial: Cat-Eye Edition

I'm a big fan of the everyday cat-eye and this tutorial is long over due. With help from Jason Hood, I'm excited to finally share my cat-eye process. I've put together a tutorial for an easy way to recreate this look. This is my first video tutorial so bear with me and some of my ramblings.
