A Very Twee Valley High Birthday Wishlist!

Twee Valley High Birthday Wishlist
It's a small victory, but having a new computer has me excited to blog again! I scoured the internet to share some awesome wishlist items. This list is me in a nutshell. It combines the things I love most, like...The Ronettes, Archie comics, Belle and Sebastian and Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Not to mention brunch and some dog-tastic shoes.  Seriously, this might be the best wishlist I've ever created. P.S. How much does that brooch at the top totally look like me? It's a serious jewelry doppleganger.

Last year my birthday was on Thanksgiving, but this year, it falls the day after. I'm happy to say I have family visiting ON my birthday. We're headed to a fancy restaurant and will have a fabulous time. I can't wait!

The Girly Gift Guide of Home Decor

Due to my job search, when I'm not networking, I spend a lot of time at home. I love my apartment and how homey it truly feels. I'm all about home goods, especially cookware! This might be due to my marathon of Food Network madness (holla to Bobby Flay).

I'm also a fan of absurd pillows, even if my couch is officially out of room. I put together a gift guide or wishlist of sorts as I browsed the plethora of online items.

Quirky Home Decor Gift Guide

Uncommon Goods approached me to do a review of one of their items. They had so many cute things, it was hard to choose just one so I decided to do a gift guide for the quirky girl in your life who happens to love home decor.

I like supporting small business and Uncommon Goods has a variety of unique designers. They are conscious of the environment, pay their workers fairly and many of their products come USA-made. These are all pros for an online retailer.

The site has all kinds of personalized gifts, including jewelry. My favorite was the record doormat from the list above. It’s perfect for the musical couple in your life. If you’re looking for cute girly things, you can also search here. Obviously the whimsical stuff caught my eye, like the food pillows and the  gummy bear lights...I might just have a thing for food decor. The unicorn bowl won my heart, while the pink planter would go perfectly in my place. I plan to add many of these things to my list of home decor!

A Galentine's Day Gift Guide

Galentine's Day

Happy Galentine's Day!

I've always loved Valentine's Day, even before I was in a relationship. It combines my favorite colors (and shapes) with treats and decorations. What's not to love? As excited as I am to celebrate with dear Jason, another holiday I admire comes the day before...

Galentine's Day

Galentine's Day
It's a holiday that...

Galentine's Day

A creation of Parks and Recreation, this holiday is about celebrating your gal pals. I've come to the conclusion that there are three reasons for a post like this.

1. I'm lucky enough to have some amazing lady friends in NYC and Texas. I admire each one of them immensely. They are smart, funny women, not to mention super stylish to boot. Shout-out to Jenn who is the Ann Perkins to my Leslie Knope. Many a time has my enthusiasm and love of holidays probably scared her.

2. Parks and Rec is my second favorite show of all time (Buffy is still #1!) and it makes me so sad that the series is ending. The holiday goes beyond the show, but it's timely to celebrate while it's still here!

3. It's so dreary in NYC right now. Melting snow and windy weather is so not fun. Colorful outfits and fancy gift guides is just what  we need. This is what I'm wearing to celebrate!

I hope you enjoy my collection of cute gifts. I wish I could get them for you all!

I was browsing H&M and I noticed how many cute, well-priced items would make great hostess gifts. Whether you're going to a party or know someone who loves to throw them, these cute items would make any home brighter, especially the pineapple!
