What I Wore To See Garfunkel and Oats

Shirt: H&M, Shoes: Bass, Bag: Beacon's Closet, Skirt: Monk, Earrings: Were my moms, Scarf: Vintage
I've been in love with these ladies and their hilarious songs for a while so I was suuuper excited when I heard Garfunkel and Oats were in town! In a musical comedy scene filled with dudes, these ladies are making a name for themselves by being unabashedly girly, yet hilariously raunchy and daring. I mean how can you not instantly love songs like "Go Kart Racing (Accidentally Masturbating)" and "Pregnant Women Are Smug"? Plus these ladies rap like nobody's biznazz in "This Party Took A Turn For the Douche." The show was hilariously awesome!
Here are some of my favorite songs below.

Look out for cameos by Sarah Silverman and Alia Shawkat, in this one!
Favorite part of the song: "I ain't in love with ya cousin, I'm no George Michael Bluth."

This was me at the show:

I think I mumbled something fangirl-esuqe about them being awesome on Scrubs and Pushing Daisies. You can pick up their new album "All Over Your Face" at a show or on itunes!

What I Wore To The Russian Tea Room

Here I am with my mom and grandma at The Russian Tea Room. I previously wore this outfit at a Blogger Luncheon earlier in that summer, but I switched up the accessories a bit. It's such a great summer look! The Russian Tea Room, was seriously gorgeous. The room we were in later became the location for a Harper Bazaar party celebrating Anne Hathaway's cover that month.

This gorgeous room is where we ate dinner and where I tried caviar for the first time.

Well, hey there Blair and Nate! I found this picture when I googled "Russian Tea Room." I sadly did not see them there, but I did see "Lonley Boy" Dan at a Brazilian nightclub the next day!

Earlier in the day my mom and I saw some lovely swans:

Then my mom and I headed to this AMAZING Girl Group Extravaganza featuring legendary bands from the 60's! So SO good! Here are some of the pictures from that fantastic show: Below is Brenda Reid of The Exciters, Arlene Smith of The Chantels, Beverly Warren of the Brentwoods, Louise Murray of the Jaynettes, Maxine Brown, The Angels, Barbara Harris of The Toys, La La Brooks of The Crystals, Lesley Gore, and lastly the lioness that is Ronnie Spector of The Ronettes! The last picture is a big number they did all together. The show was 5 hours long, but still seemed too short! Check out Brooklyn Vegan for better pictures and a more comprehensive review than "It was AWESOME!"
